I AM SO EXCITED!!!! This time of year is always crazy for
us. Enjoyable, crazy, stressful, fun and rewarding, along with a host of other
adjectives all at the same time. J
It’s good stuff. Anyways, a couple years ago apparently our crazy summer wasn’t
crazy enough so Brandon’s dad and brother were in a very serious car accident
just weeks before our first conference. Ok, adding excitement wasn’t why the accident happened but you get
the idea. That added all sorts of excitement. Last year was way too slow and
boring. Who wants a regular summer anyways? Obviously not us because this year
instead of just having conferences (five this year…more than ever), Brandon’s
sister is having a baby, Brandon’s brother is getting married to one of my
dearest friends (four of the five of our little family is in the wedding), and
we are moving. You know, no biggie or anything. What have we done to
ourselves?!
My thoughts are running a million miles an hour! Lists are
flying through my head, shower details, wedding details, conference food
details, packing details, unpacking details…
Fortunately I love covering details.
Here are a few reasons I am excited about the new house. I
get to experience these firsts for me.
1.)
I have never lived in a real house. I have lived
in wonderful homes. These homes were all moveable. This home is stationary.
2.)
I have never had a refrigerator that had ice and
water dispense from the door. This house will change that.
3.)
I have never had a garbage disposal.
4.)
Fenced in back yard? Yeah, never had one.
5.)
GARAGE!!!!
6.)
Attic
An interesting fact: I have never in my entire life not
lived in walking distance to a grandparent. This house will not change that and
I am super happy!
Here’s my game plan. At this moment I do not feel 100% overwhelmed.
I’d like to keep it that way. Take it a day at a time. We are busy but really
it’s all going to work out. I am excited. I plan to enjoy the little things.
Soak up the season. The season will be over before we know it!
YAY! WE’RE MOVING!!!!
Oh, And my first born is turning FIVE!
P.S. Thanks for all the encouraging comments after my last post! I'm glad you all enjoy the blog!
