Our Christmas Card Selection!

I really don't have time for this today but as I sit trying to edit the attempt we made at getting some family pics it really just keeps getting better and better. If you don't get a Christmas card from us, now you'll know why! Brandon and I have a beautiful, fun, outgoing, active little family but we fail miserably when it comes to being photogenic!
Ya'll, it's bad! Here's why....

My first born is a poser so we get pics like this

Next up comes the second born with her killer smile and serious slouch.

And just when you might have a good one the little man is taking care of booger business with his finger a mile up his nose fishing out the big one!

Which results in me pointing fingers in between pretty smiles of looking like everything is under control. :)

Haha! I love how real these pictures are and the laughter I have when looking through the series of shots! Just us living real life! Now, which one to frame...

Watcha Been Up To? (Part One)

Over the past few months my Little Man turned 7, 8, 9, and 10 months old!

On May25th he started crawling. Not much after that I had the moment of walking into his room to find hime standing in his crib.

On July 22nd he took his first steps! Now he’s walking across the room with only a few balance checks.

He’s still a super busy boy full of smiles and independence! My heart still is stolen by his gorgeous eyes. We are working on the shoes thing. They are most certainly not his favorite accessory.

He has learned to sign several things but prefers to shriek at the top of his lungs in attempts to command attention. We're working on that. And on a fairly regular basis we get the pout-y, fuss, cry when his sisters bother him or his bottle is empty. :)

He sleeps all through the night. He says “dada” but still reserves the use of “momma” for very limited occasions. He LOVES bath time!

At four months old he had his family traditional pictures taken in "grandpa's pants". These pant were a gift to the new Werner baby over 100 years ago and they are still pressed perfectly in their original packaging! So cool! We have lots of picture of Werner children throughout the generations (boys and girls) who have had their moment in "the pants".

It's a Good Kind of Crazy!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!! This time of year is always crazy for us. Enjoyable, crazy, stressful, fun and rewarding, along with a host of other adjectives all at the same time. J It’s good stuff. Anyways, a couple years ago apparently our crazy summer wasn’t crazy enough so Brandon’s dad and brother were in a very serious car accident just weeks before our first conference. Ok, adding excitement wasn’t why the accident happened but you get the idea. That added all sorts of excitement. Last year was way too slow and boring. Who wants a regular summer anyways? Obviously not us because this year instead of just having conferences (five this year…more than ever), Brandon’s sister is having a baby, Brandon’s brother is getting married to one of my dearest friends (four of the five of our little family is in the wedding), and we are moving. You know, no biggie or anything. What have we done to ourselves?!

My thoughts are running a million miles an hour! Lists are flying through my head, shower details, wedding details, conference food details, packing details, unpacking details…
Fortunately I love covering details.

Here are a few reasons I am excited about the new house. I get to experience these firsts for me.
1.)    I have never lived in a real house. I have lived in wonderful homes. These homes were all moveable. This home is stationary.
2.)    I have never had a refrigerator that had ice and water dispense from the door. This house will change that.
3.)    I have never had a garbage disposal.
4.)    Fenced in back yard? Yeah, never had one.
5.)    GARAGE!!!!
6.)    Attic

An interesting fact: I have never in my entire life not lived in walking distance to a grandparent. This house will not change that and I am super happy!

Here’s my game plan. At this moment I do not feel 100% overwhelmed. I’d like to keep it that way. Take it a day at a time. We are busy but really it’s all going to work out. I am excited. I plan to enjoy the little things. Soak up the season. The season will be over before we know it!

YAY! WE’RE MOVING!!!!

Oh, And my first born is turning FIVE!

P.S. Thanks for all the encouraging comments after my last post! I'm glad you all enjoy the blog!

The Blog Will Live On!

My blogging for 2012 has been quite scarce. So, what has kept me? It’s these little people mostly. I must come clean though and inform you I have also been having an internet relationship with Pinterest. This has also kept me from you. J But that doesn’t sound as good as the spending time with my children excuse so let’s just go with that for now. Besides that, pictures of Pinterest aren’t as interesting as pictures of my littles.

Five months since little man was born! Seriously the time only gets faster!!! He cut two teeth in the beginning of February. He is rolling over and doing all the other little tricks little people do that make big people oooo and ahhhh and talk in baby voices.

The girls LOVE to play outside! A couple days ago they were out on the swing set and when I went to check on them I just intentionally paused and soaked in the moment. The simplicity of childhood. Their giggles and imaginations. The great teamwork to accomplish something. My heart was happy.

I contemplated putting to rest my blogging days for good. Is it really time well spent? Isn't taking the pictures enough? However after giving it lots of thought I decided that even if the only comments I receive are from spammers I will continue to blog. Not for others sake, but for my own. For my children's sake. For documentations sake. For history's sake. For goodness sa...oh wait. Never mind. The sakes were carrying me away.  My bad.
